2022 Orange Santa Program
Orange Santa 2022 applications are closed. If you applied for assistance this year, you’ll receive notification of your application status in the coming days. If you have not received notification by November 30, please contact the University Events Office at email@example.com.
Orange Santa will once again provide gift cards (one per eligible child, see below for requirements) to UT families experiencing need during the holiday season. Gift cards will be distributed in person (virtual gift cards will not be offered this year). Applicants will receive information regarding the pick-up process in their approval email.
Giftcards will be distributed at an Orange Santa Festival held on Saturday, December 3 at Littlefield Home. Families are invited to pick up their gift cards and enjoy a holiday treat and a photo with Orange Santa. If applicants are unavailable Saturday, December 3, alternate dates are Friday, December 2 and Monday, December 5. Applicants will be required to choose a pick-up time when applying.
Applicants must be current, regularly appointed University employees or students. Applicants who participate in the UTemps and all other temporary employees are not eligible. One application per household is permitted. If both parents/guardians work for UT Austin, only one may apply for Orange Santa.
Applicants may request assistance for their minor children (17 and under) who reside with the applicant and for whom the applicant has legal duties of care and financial responsibility. Legal proof in the form of birth certificates or school records may be requested. Relatives and other children who do not fit these criteria are not eligible for assistance.
Applications open in early November. Applications should be made online by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 18. Applications are available in English or Spanish. Applications received after 5 p.m. on November 18 will not be considered.
Applicants must have a UT EID and password to apply online. If applicants need assistance determining or resetting their EID and password, they are asked to call the UT Help Desk at (512) 475-9400.
